Mesa Drive

And just when you thought all the fun was done. Rach and I went downtown before the Stadium of Fire and listened to this new band called Mesa Drive straight from SLC. They were so awesome that I bought their CD had them all sign it and get a picture with them for when they are famous. They are on schedule to tour with Maroon 5 and County Crows.

Rich, Mckinley and Grandpa. Good Times!

While playing some Bocce Ball, Steve, Tanner and Jakob found a nest of baby birds. Their heads had this sort of bobble-head action going on every time we brushed up against the tree.

After playing a game of softball we went through Hobble Creek Canyon and ended up at Jolly's Ranch. This was a nearby river with a man made water fall (It made for a nice action shot).

See now doesn't that make it all worth it?

Thats what I call a huge ball of gas!!! You can feel the heat from that one.

Rich vs. Stroller

To prove how tired we actually were from not going to bed until 1:30 that same morning, watch this video. While Rich is awed at the bags under Kyles eyes he is to distracted to take the impact of the stroller waiting to take him head on.

We kicked off the day at 5:30 am at Fox Field just east of the hospital to watch the hot air balloon competion. If you haven't seen this before, definately a must in the future. you'll be tired but the sight is well worth the effort.

Well, we have had a lot of people ask us about what we did for the 4th of July, and since our day began at 5:30 am and ended at 12pm instead of telling the same stories over and over, i decided to blog about it.
